First Loose Tooth!

Conall has his first loose tooth! He discovered it at school yesterday and worried his teacher and the whole class most of the day.  Although he has had friends with loose teeth and we had warned him that this would happen, he was freaked out. By the end of the day Conall had calmed down a bit and went from frightened to excited.

Conall can't leave the thing alone! He is constantly sticking his finger in his mouth feeling of it and if he isn't doing that, then he is wiggling it with his tongue. He also has an adult tooth behind it that is more than halfway through the gumline and clearly visible. We looked this up last night and found out that some kids get their teeth this way and the second, adult set is called "shark teeth."

Go figure, Conall with shark teeth. Ssh! Don't tell him -- I don't want his head inflated by how cool he thinks that is.

I don't think you can see it -- but here's our picture of the loose tooth and the "shark" tooth
