My grandmother and namesake, Ruth Maxine Calvert Adams

I couldn't find the pic of my grandmother in uniform to post, so I figured this was the next best thing. Mom thinks grandmother is playing dress up in my grandfather's uniform in this pic. My grandmother had a uniform of her own -- she was a WAC, enlisting after Pearl Harbor. I'm proud of my family's military heritage, but most especially of my grandmother who was and still is a wonderful role model. She is greatly missed.

My Namesake, Ruth Adams

Here are some great photos of my grandmother and namesake, Ruth Adams. My mom sent them to me in the mail and I enjoyed them so much that I thought I'd put them up here.

She is also where Caitlin's middle name comes from. In fact, Caitlin's laugh and smile often remind me of her. I miss her so much.
