Boy Fishing Day

While Caitlin and I enjoyed a girlie day of shopping and playing at Na Na's, the boys went fishing at Petit Jean Mountain at Cedar Falls. Conall was so excited that he was up at 5:30 a.m. ready to go! It took a little longer to get daddy out of bed and all of us ready to go!

We woke Caitlin up, put her in the car, and headed to the bait shop to get worms. From there, we went to Na Na's, where Po Po was waiting with his truck and the fishing equipment. The boys headed off to Petit Jean and had a great day. Apparently, Conall even caught two catfish at once! They also caught Bluegills and a Pumpkinseed fish.

The boys came home later in the day, exhausted, but happy. Even Conall was speechless for part of the hike back up the mountain, and then, the ride home.

Girlie Day With Na Na

The boys went fishing yesterday, so Caitlin and I had a fun girlie day with Na Na. Caitlin played in the wading pool at Na Na's, went shopping, played a few board games, played with blocks, watched a couple of Dora movies and then, when Conall got back from fishing, played in the wading pool again.

Na Na's Rosebush

As most of you know, it has become a family tradition for us to take a picture of the kids in front of Na Na's yellow rosebush every year. We started when Conall was a baby and have continued every year.
The rosebush only blooms once a year.
This year, Na Na and Po Po were out of town when it bloomed. Aunt Megan kept an eye on it for us and let us know when it was blooming. We hopped in the car the next day for a quick trip to Na Na's and got some photos of the kids in front of the rosebush.

Happy Birthday Na Na!

We got together with Na Na and Po Po on Saturday to celebrate Na Na's birthday. The kids had a ball -- they went to the park with Na Na and Po Po and when they got back they got to play with cousin Kate. They also enjoyed helping Na Na blow out her candles.

Late Christmas

We always celebrate Christmas with the Berryhill extended family later than most people -- usually on New Year's Day. This gives all of the families a chance to make it to Christmas without juggling schedules or stress. This year, Aunt Brooke and Layton got sick, so we had to delay it. After Caitlin's "pink party" yesterday, we were able to celebrate with Brooke and family. And, cousin Layton will finally get to use Conall and Caitlin's old crib, set up in a guest room at Na Na's.

The Pink Party

Caitlin had her 3rd birthday party today. Her only request was that we have a "pink party". We invited Caitlin's cousin, Kate and her friend, Savy. Since Kate and Savy live in Conway, we had the party at Na Na and Po Po's house. Aunt Brooke, Uncle Todd, Tristan, and Layton were also able to make it. We even got a family photo!

The little girls had so much fun playing. They colored My Little Pony coloring sheets, decorated sugar cookies, had a Play Doh treasure hunt, ate Aunt Amy's yummy My Little Pony cake, opened gifts and played and played and played. Caitlin had a wonderful birthday.
