Conall's Ladybug

Aunt Amy got Conall a really cool Christmas gift. It is a digital art studio keyboard that hooks into our computer's USB port. He has his own stylus to draw with. He can make cards, books, color pictures, and draw with the stylus.
He has used it every day since we installed it. Here's the picture he drew with it yesterday -- it is a ladybug and ladybug food (the red spray paint looking things) with some "stamps" he added with the program.

Thanksgiving With Uncle Ken

We were lucky to get to spend Thanksgiving with Uncle Ken. The biggest fun for Conall was walking in the woods after the big meal (previous post). Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of that, so you'll have to rely on Conall's art to tell the story.

Conall and Uncle Ken both enjoyed playing Candyland and Caitlin enjoyed sitting in Uncle Ken's lap and reading a story.

Thanksgiving Turkey

Conall drew another turkey for me today.

Turkey Art

Here are two of Conall's turkey drawings. He seems to be getting ready for the holiday.

I thought they were pretty good, especially since he did them freehand instead of by tracing his own hand.

Drawing with Daddy

Conall really enjoys drawing and especially enjoys drawing with daddy. Here's a video of Conall sitting with daddy and drawing. Conall explains a little bit of what he is drawing.

Glue Machine

Here's another picture Conall drew today. It is of a glue machine. I guess it is Conall's newest invention.

Blue Car and Moon

Conall drew with daddy's watercolor pencils and his art markers today. He even got to use his daddy's big art board to draw on. He drew our car. The black area on it is a door to go in and out. He also drew a road for it. Then, he wanted to draw night, so he drew the black area at the top and the moon in the sky.
Because the picture is actually an 8.5 x 11, if you click on it you can see it larger and get a better idea of what it looks like.

Edward art

Conall used his drawing table non-stop this morning. He even ate breakfast on it!
He drew picture after picture after picture. He wanted me to put all of them on the refrigerator door! Here's the one I liked best -- Edward the train. The scan really doesn't do it justice.

Drawing Table

Last night, I got some really cool stuff for the kids from Freecycle (I love it). For those of you who don't know, freecycle is a local web community where people post things they want to get rid of or things they want to have, all for free. It was created to help keep things out of the landfill.


Conall got a kids lap art table, the kind I've been wanting to get him for awhile. It has a place to store his supplies and paper and fits around his lap. It might even work in the car for long trips, but I'll have to check and see if it fits.


He has been using it to draw this morning and to teach Rusty, his stuffed animal, how to draw.

Conall drew this tonight. He told me "it's me, it's me!" I told him he should sign it. You can kinda make out his signature. I think he has talent! I love it.
