Big Girl Now

Well, it is happening before my very eyes -- my baby, my little girl is growing up! She's been using the potty fairly successfully and wearing underwear (except at bedtime) for a few weeks now. Today, we took her crib down and put up her first bed. It was really hard not to cry as I saw her crib leaving her room, and even harder seeing Caitlin getting ready for bed in her big girl bed. She told me "mommy I a big girl now!"

Of course, Caitlin loves her bed! What little girl wouldn't? It is a Tinkerbell canopy bed with an iridescent canopy and girly ribbons. It really is pretty. Thank you to Aunt Jackie and Uncle Bill for the beautiful Tinkerbell toddler canopy bed and bedding!

Caitlin didn't want to read stories tonight -- she just wanted to go to bed. I was even told "mommy get out of here!"

Growing Boy

Conall got a helmet to use when riding his bicycle sometime over the Christmas break. We were gone so much, that we didn't have a chance to let him ride the bicycle and try it out. The helmet fits great! The bicycle not so much.

We got Conall all suited up and ready to go, took pictures of him wearing it on the bicycle for Jackie and Bill, and then realized his bicycle was too short. It is adjustable, so Stu adjusted the height on it. It is still too short! Conall's knees bump the steering wheel. Needless to say, he was not happy!

We're going to have to take him to pick out a new one, and of course, Conall wants to do it right now! Here are the pictures of him with his helmet on sitting on his too small bicycle getting ready to ride it.

I can't believe how fast he is growing. He is going to be five at the end of the month. Five! Wasn't he a baby just yesterday?
