A great big thank you goes out to Alison at Template Mama for the beautiful blog header and design. Most of the templates I've used lately for our blog have come from Template Mama.
If you get a chance, check out her site. Also, if you have a blog, look for her Father's Day free blog header offer. While she has time, Alison has offered to design a free Father's Day header for your blog if you send her a horizontal picture. Isn't that wonderful?
Also, if you get a chance, leave a comment on her blog about how much you like her work.

Footsie's Mom Thanks You -- Please Keep Praying
Awhile back, I put a post on here about Big Footsie, the service cat at the Arkansas School for the Blind library and Susan, my neighbor, and good friend's cat. She sent me an email this morning asking me to thank everyone for the prayers and to tell them that they are working.
Although Footsie's heart condition is still serious, he is doing much better! He is tolerating all of the medicines they are treating it with and his blood pressure is considerably lower than when he was first diagnosed. Susan has asked that we continue to pray for him, but wanted you guys to know how he is doing.

Hugs and Thanks
Every night, whether Stu or I read Conall his bedtime stories, I go in and say Conall's bedtime prayer with him. Then, he gives me a hug and a kiss and I tuck him in. Last night, before we said his prayer, Conall stood up, reached over and gave me a big hug. This is unusual, because once Conall gets used to a routine, he expects things to always go that way -- regardless of what else might be different that day. I hugged Conall back and said his prayer with him.
Then, Conall stood up again and gave me another big hug. Silly me, I was thinking he was stalling and trying to draw his bedtime out. As he hugged me Conall said, "That first hug was thanks for letting me go play with Kanton." And then he gave me a kiss and lay down to be tucked into bed. Sometimes how sweet he can be just takes me by surprise. No matter how much of a monster he can sometimes be, Conall has a good, sweet heart.
