We have the worst luck with gas-powered lawnmowers -- we just can't seem to keep one working. I think we are going to have to break down and buy a new one soon, but until then, Aunt Susan let us borrow her push mower.
Conall was fascinated! He wanted to try it out and thought it was big fun to push the mower. He mowed until he got tired. Then, his friend next door wanted to mow, too. As soon as we got home from school yesterday Conall asked where the push mower was. He wanted to mow again!
Maybe the secret to getting them started early is to use a push mower? I don't know, but I think we'll encourage it regardless.

love it! love that he enjoys the push mower. we have one, too, and now i'm getting excited for emerson to be big enough to use it. oh, it'll be a while, but a girl can dream, right?
Yes, you can dream! But seriously, who knew? Now, when he's old enough to really mow the lawn, he'll probably hate it! Ha -- would be just the way things go.
