Making Pumpkin Bread With Aunt Amy

Aunt Amy had mentioned earlier this week that she'd like to make pumpkin bread this weekend and asked if we would like some. I told her that we'd love some and that if she got really adventurous or just bored, that I knew the kids would love to help her make it. So, she came over this afternoon and they made pumpkin bread.

The kids were so excited and loved helping! And, the smell that filled the house was so wonderful! I even got inspired and we made homemade applesauce after the pumpkin bread was in the oven. I don't know who was more fun to watch with the apple corer/peeler/slicer gadget -- Aunt Amy or the kids!

Getting started -- Aunt Amy has their complete attention

Molly and Inkspot had to check everything out

We might be cooking in a 1950s kitchen in need of an update, but our recipe was on the Blackberry!

Molly waiting patiently in front of the warm oven

Caitlin covering her ears in case the oven door was loud -- silly girl, she really hates loud sounds
