A Blue Bead

Well it turns out that today's trouble is all due to a blue bead. Conall eventually told us that he'd picked a blue bead off the carpet at school and stuck it up his nose. He most likely puked it out, but we went to the doctor anyway.

Despite a lot of trouble getting an appointment (the computer system was down), we took him to the doctor tonight. At first, Conall told us he had puked out the bead and saw it in the puke and blood. By the time we went to the doctor, Conall was convinced the bead was still in his nose.

The doctor couldn't find a bead and didn't see a lot of irritation, either. He said these things rarely show up on x-ray, so the only other option would be to sedate him and have an ENT look. At this point, the doctor figured we're best assuming Conall puked it up.

The nosebleed was most likely due to the bead. The blood in the puke was probably due to the nosebleed and him puking up the bead. Leave it to Conall!

Boy it has been a crazy week. I'm hoping for a nice, normal, quiet, maybe even boring day sometime soon.
